Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 May 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Starh AI platform, including the website, applications, and APIs (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Starh Academy (“Starh AI”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. The Service
Starh AI is a communication-skills training platform. It provides AI-generated roleplay scenarios, voice practice with AI characters, a learning management system (courses, lessons, quizzes, certificates), skill tracking, and candidate-assessment tools. Features available to you depend on your subscription plan.
3. Accounts and organisations
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Organisation administrators may invite, manage, and remove members, and may access content and usage data generated by members within their organisation.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- The Service is offered on a per-seat subscription basis. Pricing and plan features are described at the point of sale.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription only if you choose a plan; we will not charge you automatically at the end of a trial unless you have entered payment details and selected a plan.
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund Policy.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defame, or harm others.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, including SCORM packages, videos, or documents that infringe third-party intellectual property.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical controls.
- Use the Service to build a competing product, or to train competing AI models on our outputs.
- Resell or sublicense access without our written consent.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload or create (“Customer Content”) — scenarios, courses, lessons, uploaded media, and learner records. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Customer Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not sell Customer Content, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
7. AI-generated output
Parts of the Service use third-party AI models to generate scenarios, coaching responses, scoring, and design suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it — particularly for hiring, assessment, or performance decisions. Starh AI is a training and practice tool; it does not make employment decisions and should not be used as the sole basis for one.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Scheduled maintenance and dependencies on third-party providers (hosting, AI, voice, payments) may affect availability.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers including cloud hosting, database and authentication, AI model providers, voice synthesis and transcription, video hosting, and payment processing. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms where applicable.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Starh Academy and protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription. No other rights are granted.
11. Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing term.
- We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or unlawful use.
- On termination, your right to use the Service ends. You may export your data for a reasonable period after termination; after that, we may delete it in line with our Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate or fit for any particular decision.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Starh AI’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
